"How many of you would be interested to attend a live musical workshop to be conducted by me in Mumbai, will 3rd December be suitable for you?": Niigaam posted on Facebook.
"It will be a free workshop open to all... we'll do it only if we have the appropriate strength, location and time we'll inform you here and the date can be worked out based on majority and our convenience."
The singer was overwhelmed by the response from his fans.
"Everyone, the response is too overwhelming. I thought this is something that I'll be able to handle myself with my team. But I guess I'll have to take the assistance of some professional friends to manage so many people and a proper venue," the singer posted.
The event will not be taking place Dec 3 since professional organisations have offered to give him assistance for the same.
"Dear all, workshop not possible on the 3rd... Wizcraft and GIMA (Global Indian Music Awards) have offered to help me out and co-ordinate for a bigger venue, thus the delay," he posted.

Salman forgives John

The ability to forgive and success are interrelated. Success can make you happy, and when you are happy, you can forgive anyone easily. Currently, Salman Khan is exemplifying this state of mind.Recently, Salman made up with his long-time foe John Abraham in Mehboob studios. These two actors were not on talking terms for more than four years now.
The patch-up took place on the sets of Rohit Dhawan’s directorial debut Desi Boyz, which stars John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Chitrangada Singh and Deepika Padukone in the leading role, which is being produced under Eros International banner. On chancing with Salman Khan on the sets, John wondered how Salman will react after seeing him.
When they made an eye contact, John smiled. Noticing the discomfort in John’s eyes, Sallu went over and hugged hum. An eyewitness says, “Actually, they both took a few steps towards each other. However, the hug took everyone by surprise. Past that, there was a big celebration on the sets. Salman and John even had lunch together.”
The reason why Salman came on the sets of Desi Boyz, the source says, “Sallu came to meet Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt who are acting in the film. Sanjay’s name was recently added to the cast for a cameo.”
Ages ago, the differences started increasing between Salman and John over payments at their Rockstar stage show in 2006. By the time they came together to work in Ravi Chopra’s Babul, the animosity had increased and it reflected on-screen as well.
After this John continued to work with Salman’s then girlfriend Katrina Kaif in Yash Raj Films’Â New York. Meanwhile Salman refused to work with John’s girlfriend Bipasha Basu. The director duo Abbas-Mastn had decided to cast Bipasha and Salman together in a mega project, but the instant Salman came to know who the heroine was he turned down the offer.
This year in June, Salman ended his cold war with Bipasha, though in this situation it was Bipasha who took the first step towards reconciliation. At the award ceremony in Sri Lanka, Bipasha walked over to Salman’s room and spoke to him at length. Since then the two have learnt to maintain a cordial relation with one another. Bipasha attended Salman’s Being Human fashion show as well.
Ram Mirchandani who is the Chief Creative Officer of Eros International was also present on the sets. He confirmed saying, “Yes John and Salman met very warmly. Salman had some to visit Rohit, John, Akshay and Deepika.”
Well, as it’s said all’s well that ends well. We wonder if Sallu is planning to forgive Vivek Oberoi….
Katrina Kaif, Barbara Mori
My Brother’s Wife theme is adulterous, which deals with a women’s affair with her husband’s brother. However, Yash Raj Films has toned down the same version. Yash Raj has made a film on a guy (Imran) who falls for his brother’s (Ali Zafar) fiancé (Katrina). Mere Brother ki Dulhan is still under production, while Barbara’s movie is set to release in India soon.
An industry insider says, “YRF does not consider Barbara’s film has a threat for their project. They feel its release will not affect the Katrina-Imran starrer, because YRF has given a more romantic tone than an adult one. Even though the basic premise is similar, the treatment will be different.”
The distributors have considered the similarity in the title between Mere Brother ki Dulhan and My Brother’s Wife, the distributors have decided to name Mori’s film A Beautiful Wife. Dhaval Gada from Pen India is distributing this film and says, “We heard about the film Mere Brother ki Dulhan. The title did make us think that the theme of their film maybe similar to out movie, Spanish Beauty. However, we do not know their script or storyline. Anyway, we have tweaked the original story of Spanish Beauty to suit the Indian taste and the film will now reflect the triangular relationship between a husband, wife and the husband’s brother.”
When asked the spokesperson of YRF he denied of any similarities between both the movies. He says, “It is not true. There is no similarity between the two stories whatsoever.”
Sonam Kapoor
Leading ladies Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor will have equal opportunities. Yesterday, Sonam shot a song for this movie and in the coming weeks she is supposed to shoot an action sequence on cars and speeding boats. This is for the first time that the Kapoor lass is doing a film, so she going through a rigorous training for the look of this movie. She is getting training in pilates from Yasmin Karachiwala since the past few months. The trainer accompanied her to Goa as well for everyday one hour training session. An insider says, “Sonam knows that her co-star Bipasha is known for her athletic body and she does not want to fall behind while showing off hers or performing stunts.”
When asked Sonam Kapoor about this she admits, “I am in Goa shooting for Players. I have been training in pilates for some time and doing it because I love it.”
The director says, “Players is an action thriller and the girls Bipasha and Sonam will be doing lots of stunning car chases and other action sequences.”
Imraan and Avantika will get married on Jan 8

The ceremony will take place in Karjat on January 8. All the informal invites have already been sent out. To coincide with the Diwali festivities on the weekend, informal invitations were extended for Imran’s wedding with Avantika Malik. The actor will tie the knot on January 8 with his fiancée at their Karjat farmhouse.A close source to the actor revealed, “Though it is exactly two months away, the preparations are in full swing. Those on the guest list were sent SMSes or told on the phone to keep themselves free on January 8 from 5 pm to 5 am. The message stated that a formal invite of the wedding card would follow later.”
The source added, “As it was Diwali, it was considered an auspicious occasion to start with the invitations.” The Malik’s are telling everyone to keep themselves free on the wedding day. They are going to have dusk till dawn bash for their wedding.
The nephew of Aamir Khan had his engagement party with a brunch, followed by the ceremony and dinner in the evening. For this occasion he gifted Avantika a Volkswagen Beetle. The engagement invite was in the shape of a metal box, which had a bottle full of sand. The invite was rolled inside the bottle.
Imraan has always been very open about his relationship with Avantika. They were amongst the few people who were invited for the opening of Arjun Rampal’s nightclub in Delhi and a toast was raised for them.
Lara Dutta will be essaying the role of Shahrukh Khan’s moll in Don 2, the role that Eesha Koppikhar played in the original. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra will essay the role of leading lady in the movie.
The famous Indian choreographer Longinus Fernandes made all the actors in Slumdog Millionaire dance to his tunes and he has directed a sequence in Hollywood movie, Eat, Pray, Love. Out of all this, it was our very own Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bowl him over, with her ‘dream’ like dance moves.
Priyanka and Lara
Icy winds started blowing the minute Priyanka landed on the Berlin airport. An insider revealed, “Lara was already there a week before PC. The two barely exchanged hellos with frosty smiles before they directed their warmth to SRK and the director Farhan Akhtar.”
These two beauties have had a long history. The two were crowned as Miss Universe and Miss World in the same year. They both started their career with the same movie Andaaz. Lara portrayed a role of grieving widow and had the author backed role, but it was Priyanka who walked away to stardom and the plum assignments with Khiladi No.1, Akshay Kumar. Since then, Lara has steered clear of working with PC, sources say that she was hesitant to sign Don 2 as well.
When Farhan assured her that he would flesh out her role, only then she agreed to sign the film. Also, SRK has a soft spot for Mahesh Bhupatis latest girlfriend, ever since she acted in his home production Billu, a part that every actress had refused.
Even without their past differences, things between them will never be easy. In Bollywood, whenever any two actresses shoot together, there is stress on the sets. The list of worries is endless; it starts from who has the better room, better fee, better clothes and it ends at better scenes. Piggy Chops was already wary, exhausted, and edgy when she reached Berlin a week after her former friend and now a rival had got comfortable with the unit. Over here Lara clearly has a head start.
These two divas have come face to face after six years and are not ready to act like the long lost friends. The biggest fact that they have uneven roles is enough reason for them to be suspicious about each other. One is promised to be the leading lady and the other has been promised an important role. The insecurities have already started to surface with both the ladies wanting to stay in their own corners for as long as they can.
A close source revealed, “To start with, their roles are unequal. If you see Eesha Koppikhar’s role in Don you will know what Lara is supposed to play. Priyanka has had a stressful dubbing and shoot, which she had to complete in two days. In addition, there was a section in the industry who wanted to demolish her performance in Anjaana Anjaani. She is left in a depressed state of mind. The last thing she would want in Berlin is stressful ambience.”
Aishwarya always dances like a dream: Slumdog choreographer
He has choreographed one song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s, Guzaarish, Udi Udi. When asked about this song, Longinus said, “It is very unusual. We have never seen Aishwarya doing such steps. It is very different from what she has done in the past and she has done a brilliant job with it. She is a wonderful dancer and she dances like a dream. It did not take her much time to learn the dance, but it did take some time to perfect the dance and to get in the mood of the character.”
The song is turning into a rage especially due to Aishwarya’s graceful and impressive moves in her red and black long dress. The dance director said, “Sanjay wanted to make this song unique and different one. I asked him if we can add a little bit of Spanish in it and give it a raw, earthy feel. He loved the idea, so we gave the whole dance a look, which is very rustic, so we tried to make it as natural as we can.”
Longinus has won the Filmfare Award for this famous choreography for the song ‘Pappu can’t dance saala…’in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Bhansali and Longinus met for the first time on the sets of a dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.
When asked Longinus how he got a film with Sanjay he said, “It was not very tough for me to get this break with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has always been fond of me. He was one of the judges on Jhalak and he told me that time that he will work with me for sure. He kept his promise.”

Katrina Kaif has never admitted of her relationship with Salman Khan in the past eight years. They have acted together and she was like a permanent fixture at his place, but she always maintained that they were good friends. However, on Tuesday she finally admitted in a daily that she has split with the Dabangg actor.
An industry source revealed, “On Monday, an article in a morninger carried quotes from a very old interview of Kat, in which she had spoken about her closeness with Salman. This did upset the actress, who is trying very hard to maintain a professional relation with her ex.”
The actress made a few calls to her higher-ups in the industry and said that she wanted to clear the air about Salman. The following day she gave an interview where she admitted of her split with Salman and it was flashed on the front page of the tabloid under the title: For the first time.
So, now the question comes: Why did Katrina finally come clean about Salman? An insider says, “That interview made matters embarrassing for her. She is dating Ranbir now, and the Kapoor Khandaan have welcomed her into their fold. How would she explain an interview about Salman being a ‘4 am friend’?”
Her confession about her break-up was a face-saving attempt.
A close source to the actress added, “When Kat read an article about Salman and her closeness, she was very upset. She does not want to send out the wrong signals to Ranbir or his family. She is not with Sallu anymore. Though Salman and Kat broke up long ago, they continue to be friends. She appreciates all that he has done for her, and they will always be there for one another. After the latest being human show he even asked her to party with his friends, but she denied it as she had an early morning flight. Though Kat and Salman are still in touch with one another, but they are no more romantically involved and she does not want to give a wrong impression to anyone.”
