Ajay’s witty side shown in ‘Bol Bachchan’…

Bol Bachchan will see Ajay Devgan in a distinct style.
Ajay’s character is named Prithviraj Raghuvanshi and he plays the role of an English speaking addict. Loads of witty proverbs have been used by the actor.
“Bol Bachchan” will see Ajay trying hard to speak in English. However, he fails to do so and ends up translating famous Hindi proverbs in English.
He translates “Bagal mein chhora aur sheher mein dhindora” as “Boy under armpit and hypercity noise pollution”, and “Tujhe paakar meri chahati aur bhi choudi ho gayi hai” as “My chest has become blouse”.
Says a source from the sets, “These are just a few! Ajay has quite a number of fascinating dialogues which are sure to get the audiences cracking. We won’t be surprised if these one-liners too become a rage like the dialogues from ‘Singham”.
“Bol Bachchan”, also starring Abhishek Bachchan in a double role.
The film releases on July 6.

Emraan Hashmi open to item numbers!

Emraan Hashmi is ready to grove to item songs but on one condition: it has to be unique and different from the rest.
“The conventional item numbers are very boring. I don’t like the way they are presented. I will do something different,” he said. He also added jokingly, that if Dibakar Banerjee, his Shanghai director will cast him in an item number, he will take it up on the spot.
Shanghai has changed people’s perception Emraan Hashmi.


“‘Shanghai’ de-constructed perception that people had about me. A new Emraan Hashmi has been showcased. After this whatever role I play, it should be as unpredictable as this. I want to surprise the audience,” he told reporters.
The actor also said, “‘Shanghai’ is very different. We have made a film which breaks convention.” Though the film did not start on a great note, Emraan says, “but the jump we got, the response I got on SMS and everything is a win-win situation for the entire team. This film needs your support so that more films like ‘Shanghai’ can be made.”

Emraan is a very versatile actor. He doesn’t want to be tagged in a particular role.
“I want to be an actor who pitches his films to everyone. We know there is a divided audience. Some actors are safe and cater to one particular set of audience. But I really respect Dibakar for making a film like ‘Shanghai’. He took the risk of making something totally different. The praise that I have got for Jogi Parmar, I have hardly ever heard such praise in my career. After ‘Shanghai’, I would want to do more films like this,” he said.

And what about those who did not like the film?
Emraan said: “You can’t please everyone. You will have people who love your film and detractors as well. In this case, they haven’t understood the film….

‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ not for children!

   

 
Director Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur has got an ‘A’ certificate from the censor board, making it ineligible for children below 18.
“The film has not gone to the censor board as yet. It is ‘A’ (adult) film and it will be an ‘A’ film only. But, of course, we want it to go without any cuts.” said the director. He was the at the music launch for the film here Tuesday.
Starring actors like Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Richa Chadda and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles, the film was showcased at the recent Cannes International Film Festival.
The director was complimented for his film, with people saying that all would love the film.
“We got a lot of compliments but the best one was that everyone in the world will understand the film and everyone will like to watch it,” he said.
Anurag doesn’t fear the loss of his audiences despite the content of the film being termed as “A”. “All films are not for kids. This film is not at all for children. Adult audiences will come to watch it for sure,” he added.

Priyanka adopts Sundari, a Lioness! ROAR…

Last year, Priyanka Chopra had adopted a tigress Durga and this year, at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda zoo, the actress has adopted a lioness named Sundari.
The zoo officials said, “We have received a cheque of Rs.200,000 from Priyanka Chopra foundation. She has adopted lioness Sundari.”
However, the contract for tigress Durga has ended on April 30 this year. The latest will contract will end on April 30, 2013.
A scheme for adoption of animals was introduced by the Ranchi zoo, last year. It said that any animal can be adopted by anyone for a period of 1-11 years.
People, corporate houses and public sector have adopted elephants, peacock, tigers and leopards.

Skin show for Abhay Deol!!

Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai will have the daring Abhay Deol bare his torso, something similar to Ranbir Kapoor’s “Saawariya” act. The difference is, it was a towel for Ranbir, it’ll be a lungi for Abhay.
Abhay Deol essays the role of a IAS officer from Tamil nadu.
“It’s not a towel… It’s a south Indian lungi,” Abhay Deol said, at a press conference on Monday.
It is heard that Abhay was not very comfortable with the idea of wearing just a lungi.

“I cried many days that why you’re making me wear this… but then we decided to go with it. I told Dibakar to take care of the lighting… that’s all,” said the 36-year-old.
In Shanghai, one will not get to see a pumped up Abhay. The actor has kept his physique normal.
“Dibakar said I shouldn’t go and make a gym body with six packs. He said – ‘Be athletic, keep your physique as it is, don’t pump yourself with steroids otherwise you won’t look like an IAS officer for sure’,” Abhay said.
Focussing more on the scene, rather than Abhay’s body, Dibakar said,
“While filming that scene, we weren’t really thinking what Abhay would look like because it was a one-take scene when a burning brick wrapped in cloth and kerosene oil had to crash in through a window to the left of Abhay and landing to Abhay’s right side, and keep burning. There were three risks – it could have hit Abhay, it could have hit the camera or it could have hit the laptop in front of Abhay.
“We were really nervous about it. So that time how Abhay looked hardly mattered. But in fact, I remember I wanted him to grow a slight paunch for it… I am sure he would have done it… but we didn’t have time,” said the filmmaker.
“Shanghai”, hits theaters this Friday. The film also features Emraan Hashmi and Kalki Koechlin.

Ranbir charged for smoking in public!

Ranbir Kapoor was caught smoking in public and is reportedly been summoned by a local court in Udaipur.
The actor was on the sets of his upcoming his film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani being shot in Udaipur, when he was clicked lighting up in a public place. Few of his pics also came up in a local daily. This provoked an Udaipur resident, Mr. Harish Vaishnav to file a complaint against actor for smoking in public.
The Bollywood star is been booked for violating Section 5 of the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act. According to this act, if a person is caught lighting up in public places, a maximum of six months imprisonment or a fine of Rs. 200., will be imposed on him/her.
The Udaipur court has reportedly summoned Ranbir Kapoor on June 26.

The secret affair between Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut!

The latest and hottest buzz doing the rounds is that Ajay Devgn and Kangana ranaut are in a romantic relationship. A film magazine has published a report about the secret affair. It is said that it all started during the shooting of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai in 2010.

At the 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, Saturday, actress Priyanka Chopra danced to popular songs of Rekha, as a tribute.
Rekha was honored for outstanding achievement in Indian cinema at the ceremony, organised by Wizcraft International Entertainment.
Priyanka showed some amazing moves to the remixed version of “In aakhon ki masti ke” from “Umrao Jaan”, “Salaam-e-Ishq meri jaan”, “Pyar do pyaar lo” and “Pardesiya”.
Later on, Rekha too joined Priyanka, taking the whole thing to a totally different level.
On recieving the award, Rekha spoke a few words, “I would like to dedicate this award to my producers who have inspired me and the young actors of our industry like Ranbir Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, who are super talented. I am proud that I continue to be a part of film fraternity.”

The ‘Uff’ moment of Priyanka-Shahid at the IFFA rocks!

At the IIFA Rocks, a fashion and musical night which is a part of the ongoing 13th International Indian Film Academy Weekend and awards in Singapore, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra literally brought the roof down with their awesome performance on the song “Uff” from their upcoming film Teri Meri Kahaani.
Apart from the musical night, the runway lit up with gorgeous models walking the ramp for various designers, adding glamor to the entire show.
Designers Varun Bahl, Masaba Gupta and Suneet Verma showcased their collections with star showstoppers.
Following Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra powe packed performance, was Punjabi singer Mika Singh, who performed on songs like “Chinta ta ta”, “Pungi”, “Jugni”, Dhinka Chika and “Subah hone na de”.
Gauhar Khan, a Model-turned-actress also showcased her item numbers like “Jhalla” and “Chokra Jawan” from “Ishaqzaade”.
Shafqat Amanat Ali too followed the gang with his popular songs like “Mora saiyyan”, “Tum mile”, “Bin tere” and “Mitwa”.
Putting an end to a fun filled night was an energetic performances by music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar. They sang numbers like “Sheila ki jawaani”, “Chammak challo”, and “Bharat mata ki jai”

Kareena’s item number in Heroine!

We are all aware about Kareena Kapoor’s item number in her upcoming film, Heroine. The actress has worked extremely hard for it. She was recommended a special diet by her nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar to get that perfect curvy and sexy body.
“In fact, most of the people on the sets are now following the diet,” revealed the actress.
Yesterday, the weeks long hard work was seen on ground, when Bebo shot for the number. The song is titled ‘Halkat Jawani’ and is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.
Explaining the scene, director Madhur said, “This is actually an award function where Kareena is performing. She has been mindblowing. We are moving to a new shot and she has stepped out.”
The dance moves have been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.

First look: Katrina Kaif in Ek Tha Tiger!

Last month, there was an overwhelming response to Salman Khan’s dashing promo of the film Ek Tha Tiger. However, the film’s leading lady, Katrina Kaif was no where to be seen. But now, her first look from the film is out, with a punch line, “The girl who tamed Tiger”.
From the first look of the actress, it looks like Kats is in full action mood, wearing a black vest, with that serious look on her face.
Just like Salman’s first look, Kat’s first looks has brought loads of applause.
The film, Ek Tha Tiger will see Katrina in an action avatar, fighting beside Salman Khan.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the film is a spy thriller is set to release this Eid.

The furore began after a picture of Rai sporting a double chin as she climbed into a car after a party emerged.
Rai gave birth to her first child in November and has publicly stated she is in no hurry to drop her extra pounds, preferring to “enjoy motherhood”.
But the pictures have sparked an intense debate about motherhood, weight, and the apparent "obligations" of those in the public eye.
