Yash Raj Films’ forthcoming venture ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’ has found its last and final girl.
Aditi Sharma, a popular model, has been included in the film’s team, which features Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in the lead. Aditi now joins the other two girls - Dipannita Sharma and Parineeti Chopra – all the three who get duped by Ranveer.
About Aditi’s character, she plays the role of a small town, hard working girl who looks after the family shop. She makes the mistake, like the others, of trusting the con man - the smooth talking and conniving master mind, Ricky, and falls victim to a super slick caper which leaves her devastated.
With ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’, director Maneesh Sharma is back with his original ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ team. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is planned for a 9th Dec 2011 release worldwide.

Bollywood’s next action hero Sachiin Joshi’s bare dare act
11:02 AM
Unknown
Meet Sachin Joshi B- town next action hero who with his bare dare act has made a strong application to the B-town’s bare dare list.
A big fan of slick, fast paced international cinema Sachiin Joshi is ready to bring to Indian audiences a never seen before suspense thriller titled ‘Azaan’ – A country…A conspiracy…A common man.
The actor/producer makes his big Bollywood debut in Prashant Chadha’s ‘Azaan’ that sees him play an informant who has to go undercover beyond enemy lines to save the country from the threat of biological warfare.
Sachiin Joshi known for his drive for perfection worked hard for his role in the film. Says Sachiin, "The film is a fast paced thriller so I had to work hard on my stamina and physique… Since there are a lot of action scenes in the film and at other times we'd be shooting in freezing temperatures....I trained extensively in Krav maga and Kalaripayatu and the results are for all to see on the big screen."
In fact Sachiin pushed his limits as an actor and shot a torture scene in Marrakech, Morocco bare bodied for 12 hours at a stretch at a temperature of 0 to - 4* Celsius.
Says a source, “Sachin Joshi wanted to get a scene right and was willing to test his endurance levels at the cost of shooting for 12 hrs at a stretch in a basement of a fort in Marrakech called Badii – the temperature out there would vary from 0 to -4 degress Celsius and to add to that he was bare-bodied.However his drive is remarkable since he managed to shoot an action scene immediately after minus complaints and had everyone on the sets very impressed.”
Shooting for the film wasn’t an easy task as director Prashant Chadha confirms, “This is a very demanding film both for the cast and the crew. We have shot in subzero temperatures in Poland, France and Germany and the difficult terrain of Morocco, Sudan and Algeria...The film is Azaan Khan’s journey to save his country from a conspiracy that has a “made in China” tag on it and to perhaps redeem himself of his guilt ridden past. The threat is biological; the deadly ebola virus with a fatality rate of 90.Azaan is an edgy, kinetic film with its heart in the right place.”
Sajid Nadiadwala sets a ‘Housefull’ trend
11:00 AM
Unknown
Believe B-town smart filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala for his business acumen and knowing how and when to hatch his eggs.
Title songs have always played a key role in the success of B-town blockbusters; “Hud Hud Dabangg” is the best example and many like this…
But ‘Housefull’ sequel is all set to put the ‘Housefull’ board again across cinemas all over by following the same tradition it did in 2010.
The comic caper ‘Housefull’ starring the entertaining Kumar Akshay Kumar, Ritesh, Lara, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal didn’t had a title track to move the story and this time also producer Sajid Nadiadwala along with his director Sajid Khan had made a conscious decision not have a title track for ‘Housefull 2’.
Hmmmm that’s what we call confidence and following the ‘hit’ trend….

The cast and crew of 'I AM' turned out for designer Anita Dongre, who had designed for the film, at the Lakme Fashion week on Sunday.
"We are all here to be with Anita to celebrate Anita's fashion show as she is the designer of the film," said Onir, the film's director.
Juhi Chawla, Purab Kohli and Sanjay Suri were among the members of the cast present at the show, dressed in a black T-shirt that sported the words "I AM" prominently.
The collection titled 'Love & Life' is an offering to a woman in love, a woman who is quintessentially feminine, soft and in love with all things beautiful, says Anita.
"My line is a spring-summer line. It's set for a woman to wear in any occasion for the coming summer. The idea was how a woman in love would dress." Anita presented an entire range of Indian silhouettes created in beautiful poetic weaves from Benaras.
"It was very energetic. I don't know how to describe but may be angelic would be the right word to describe the design. The way the garments were flowing; each one was independent of the other and all were equally beautiful," said Juhi.
The colour palette started with a dash of soft rose pink, powder blue and pale yellow. "These are very Anita Dongre colours and people in India love white, cream and pink in summer," Anita said.

Akshay Kumar loses his cool with journo
10:54 AM

Akshay Kumar is known to play funny and easygoing characters on-screen. But off-screen, he's a no-nonsense person. This was evident at the recently held promotional event of THANK YOU, where the cast of the film graced the weddings of two couples.
Everything was all right until a person from the media asked Anees Bazmee, "You have written and directed the film. But who writes the film's publicity script?" Akshay took the mike and said, "The film's publicists."
The journalist then cheekily asked, "So, if you have a murder mystery tomorrow, will you organise some sort of a murder?" This rubbed Akshay the wrong way and he fumed, "Do you think these marriages are fake? Have you come here for a walk? Do you know anything about these couples?"
"I have just come back from Chandigarh and got to know about them. Actually, they wanted to have some big stars attending their weddings," said Akki before handing the mike to one of the grooms.
The groom revealed, "When we were having our court marriage, we dreamt of having some stars for our wedding. Luckily my aunt had a contact in UTV and it was made possible. I still can't believe stars have come to our wedding."
Akshay, now in a calmer tone, added, "This isn't a publicity stunt. It was just a coincidence that their wedding happened during the same time as our film's promotion. We got a call from UTV and we are here. If we have made a mistake, please forgive us."
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Bobby Deol, Sonam Kapoor, Celina Jaitley and Anees Bazmee were also present at the event. 'Thank You' releases on 8th April all over.

Deepika won't perform at India-South Africa match
9:29 AM
Unknown
The title track of the film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ will be launched during the crucial India-South Africa match in Nagpur Saturday, but actress Deepika Padukone, who features in the song, will not perform at the event.
"Unfortunately, Deepika Padukone is shooting for 'Aarakshan' in Bhopal and doesn't have time to rehearse as she would land on same day in Nagpur. She expressed her regret as it would be very difficult for her to perform in front of a 45,000 plus crowd without any rehearsals. The song is extremely dance oriented and needs to be well orchestrated with a troupe of dancers," a source told IANS.
So finally, the 'Dum Maaro Dum' team will launch the song in the mid break after the first innings.
Sippy said: "Well it would have been extremely exciting if she had had time to rehearse and perform live in front of the audience. It would have given the song new energy. But we understand and have decided to showcase the song during half time in the match. It's one of the most important matches we have."
Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar, 'Dum Maaro Dum' is directed by Rohan Sippy and Deepika is making a special appearance in the item song.
'Dum Maaro Dum' will hit the screens April 22. It revolves around six Indians who meet in Goa and their lives change after getting involved with the drug mafia.

Vidya to sport hot pants in Silk Smitha biopic
8:37 AM
Unknown
She is jittery about her bold outing in The Dirty Picture, director Milan Luthria’s interpretation of Southern siren Silk Smitha’s life. Luthria admits that they’re working hard to allay the actor’s fears by sending her video references, pictures and stories about Silk Smitha and Disco Shanti.
“To be honest, I’m happy she’s nervous. It’s a good sign for any actor to be anxious. It’s better than being over-confident,” laughs Luthria, who’s going to have some sittings and rehearsals to prep up Balan. “In a couple of days, Vidya will start coming to my office regularly.”
The actor is presently working with costume designer Niharika Khan on her clothes. “Lot of tight clothes and hot pants,” says Luthria, who’s taken on the challenge of turning the ‘conservative’ actor super glam. “Another challenge is showing Silk Smitha ageing. We are going to use prosthetics but nothing that’s over-the-top.”
He adds that Balan is relieved to be working with her Ishqiya co-star Naseeruddin Shah with whom she shares great chemistry. “I know she’s in safe hands,” he chuckles, pointing out that from Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham to Emraan Hashmi, he has pulled out actors out of their comfort zone. “Vidya has already shown her acting prowess in films like Paa and Ishqiya. I am just going to take her untapped talent further.” The Dirty Picture goes on floors in the second half of April. Luthria plans to wrap up the film by September. Besides Vidya and Shah, the film also stars Tusshar Kapoor.
Meanwhile, the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor has slammed Silk Smitha’s boyfriend Vinu Chakravarthy for condemning her biopic and Balan.

I want to marry six times: Priyanka Chopra
8:33 AM
Unknown
Priyanka Chopra seems to have taken her role in '7 Khoon Maaf' a little too seriously!
The 28-year-old, one of the most eligible singles in tinsel town, already has elaborate plans set in her mind about the six spots and types of ceremonies she would like to have.
"My dadaji's (grandfather's) house in Ambala - my 'big, fat Indian wedding'; underwater at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia; a church in Las Vegas - wearing a short black dress and with the priest dressed as Elvis; the intimate ceremony - at a small, beautiful church in Locarno, Switzerland. It's on top of a hill that overlooks parts of Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
She also wants to go in for a nikah.
"Only very close family and friends will be present; a nikah - I think it's a beautiful, romantic ceremony - the curtains, the stolen glances, the words, and finally the acceptance... 'Kabool hai'; and lastly, the groom's choice! If my future groom survives all that, then we'll survive anything!" she added.
The plans are all quite set of course, but Priyanka says marriage does not figure on her priority list as of now.
"There is so much happening on the work front right now, which is my priority. I will get married, but I can't say when. It's not really in my control. I am a hopeless romantic, so I'm waiting for the man who is meant to be with me; he may arrive today, or five years later," she said.
In the meantime, her hectic schedules and film promotions will keep her on her toes.
She has almost finished the shoot of 'Don - The Chase Continues'. She will start work on Karan Johar's remake of 'Agneepath' and then she has Anurag Basu's 'Barfee', Kunal Kohli's next, as well as 'Krrish 2'.
