Priyanka made Kareena wait
9:32 PM

Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor
On Friday evening, Kareena Kapoor drove down all the way from Pune to Mumbai for shooting her televised act for an award ceremony. What should have ended in a few hours took them forever, thanks to Priyanka Chopra.Bebo finished with her make-up and hair and arrived on the stage to see that it was already occupied by Priyanka Chopra. She had to wait for four hours before she could actually shoot her performance.
A source present at the awards revealed, “Kareena landed at Yash Raj Studios around midnight; she found that the stage was occupied by Priyanka. She waited patiently for sometime. On spotting her, PC came down from the stage and told her that she could not give the stage until 1 am (although Kareena was assigned the stage at 12 am).”
PC continued to rehearse till 4 am, by that time, the exhausted Kareena had left for home.
The next morning, Kareena asked her manager Zahid to cancel the shooting (with Salman for Bodyguard), which was scheduled on Saturday in Pune and then came back to the studio to finish her song.
Normally, the fiery Bebo would have flared up because she was kept waiting for more than four hours. Although, she was smarting with humiliation, she maintained her cool. Later, she gave a call to the organizers and gave her piece.
They explained it to her that because of some technical problems, Priyanka’s act took a longer time.
PC’s spokesperson said, “Priyanka was not aware that Bebo had to wait for hours. Not that I am aware of. Priyanka had a long act with many changes.”
Bebo remained unavailable for comment.

'7 Khoon Maaf' is not an expensive movie: Priyanka
9:08 PM
Unknown
Her dark comedy '7 Khoon Maaf' has under-performed at the box office, but Priyanka Chopra is confident it won't lose money as it was not a big budget film.
It wasn't easy for Priyanka to go through seven different looks and emotions in '7 Khoon Maaf', which is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. On top of it there were all those stories about the intimate scenes with her leading men.
"After seeing the film, I've had people ask, 'Where is the kissing scene with John (Abraham), the love scene with Neil (Nitin Mukesh)?' Did I say there were love-making scenes? The one really lengthy bedroom sequence I have was with Irrfan (Khan) and that was done in a salwar-kameez. It was hardly pleasant. For the love-making sequence with Anu Kapoor, I wasn't even present on the sets," she said.
The near-seduction sequence with Vivaan Shah was also done with a body-double. And Priyanka selected the body!
"The bare back had to be that of a 50-year old woman. My back just wouldn't have worked. I was shown dozens of backs. I finally chose one that I thought would pass off one which I thought could be my back when I am 50. The hardest part of '7 Khoon Maaf' was ageing in front of the camera without props."
There was a lot of improvisation on location of '7 Khoon Maaf'.
"That moment when I slap myself in front of the mirror? It wasn't even there in the script! I was supposed to break down in front of the mirror. I suggested I slap myself," said Priyanka, who is sure she cannot get into a role without preparation.
"I am doing 'Agneepath' and 'Barfee' back-to-back. I've set aside time for preparation. I expect a certain surprise element from myself in every role that I play," said the actress who wowed her fans with her performance in 'Kaminey' and 'Fashion'. In fact, the latter fetched her first prestigious National Award.
The recent weeks have not been too easy on the former beauty queen, what with the income tax raid in her house and reports that Shahid Kapoor opened Priyanka's door to the officials in his shorts.
Commenting on the incident, Priyanka said: "First of all, my maidservant opened the door for the officials. Yes, I did immediately call Shahid because he was the closest to me. My parents were in my other house.
"Shahid is my neighbour. He's five minutes away. He did come to help me out during the raid, as he would've for any other friend. But why would he be in his boxer shorts? I was very angry when I read this.
"The IT officials were very kind. But people who made up such stories were not too kind. I've parents whom I am accountable to when such stories come out," she said.

Mom, you are a star!: Madhuri's kids
4:34 AM
Unknown
She has mesmerised millions of Indians with her screen performances, but Madhuri Dixit's US-brought up kids realised their mother was a big Bollywood star only when they visited the sets of a dance reality show recently.
Madhuri lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband Sriram Nene and two sons - Arin, 7, and Raayan, 5, and is in India as the judge of the fourth season of the show.
Madhuri became a national craze in the 1980s and the 90s with her scintillating performances in superhits like 'Tezaab', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Tridev', 'Dil', 'Saajan', 'Khalnayak', 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun', 'Dil To Pagal Hai' and 'Devdas'.
The actress took a sabbatical after 2002 and made a comeback with 'Aaja Nachle' in 2007, but the film bombed at the box office.
The failure, however, didn't affect the star aura surrounding her. She got a warm welcome by her fans and colleagues. Whether it's award functions or other public events, Madhuri's charm swept one and all.
The actress is touched after receiving such an overwhelming response from everyone and calls herself very fortunate.
"It always feels wonderful. I feel blessed. There is not a single day when I don't thank god that he has given me so much. I have received so much love from everyone wherever I have gone that I feel I am very fortunate and thank everyone for that," she said.
Her on-screen simplicity, acting prowess and elegant dancing style have made her an icon for many, especially youngsters.
So, how does it feel to be called an icon?
"It feels really nice that people love you so much, they appreciate your work and consider you an icon. It's always good to have compliments. It makes you feel nice. It makes your face glow," she said, flashing her evergreen smile.
She was recently honoured with a special award for completing 25 years in Bollywood at the 56th Idea Filmfare awards where she set the stage on fire with Shah Rukh Khan.
They danced together on hit songs like "Are re Are" from 'Dil To Pagal Hai', "Maar Daala" from 'Devdas' and "Tere Naina" from 'My Name Is Khan'.
"This was my first ever stage performance with Shah Rukh anywhere in the world and I really enjoyed working with him after such a long time," she said.
Both have previously worked in films like 'Koyla', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam' and 'Devdas'.
For those eagerly waiting for Madhuri's return to the big screen will have to wait for some more time as she will be going back to the US to be with her kids and husband after 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.
"It was great to be back to work after I had taken time off to be with my kids. This is a nice change for me. I miss my kids very much; so I'll be back (to the US) in a month," she said.
As for her next film Madhuri said, "I have been going through a lot of scripts, but nothing has been finalised as yet."
She is currently in talks with Anil Kapoor to star in a Bollywood remake of Hollywood film 'Freaky Friday'.

Bollywood's dull plans for Valentine's Day
4:33 AM
Unknown
Bollywood is usually associated with love and romance, but this Valentine's Day celebrities are not so enthusiastic about celebrating it and most of them will be busy working.
This is what they have to say:
Shah Rukh Khan: My Valentine's Day will be in jail since on that day I'll be shooting in a jail in Malaysia for a film.
Deepika Padukone: I would be in Bhopal shooting for Prakash Jha's film 'Aarakshan'. So basically no special plans for Feb 14.
Aamir Khan: I will be in Berlin Feb 14 since I'm among the jury members for the Berlin film festival. So won't be here to do anything special.
Katrina Kaif: I have no plans for Valentine's Day since I'll be working on Feb 14 like all other days.
Kareena Kapoor: I have no plans and I am not going to gift anything on that particular day.
Priyanka Chopra: I think this whole idea of Valentine's Day is a little over hyped. Why wait for a single day to express your love? Everyday should be like that. So I won't be doing anything special on Valentine's Day.
Arbaaz Khan: I have no plans as of now. Let the day come and will see what can be done.
Arshad Warsi: Every day you have to keep your wife happy. So every day is a Valentine's Day.
Gul Panag: I have no Valentine. I wish I get one very soon. Till then Valentine's Day is just another day for me.

Now Akshay to premiere his film in Patiala
7:35 AM
Unknown
Plans of hosting a lavish premiere of 'Patiala House' in Mumbai and London later this week have been put off in favour of a new venue - Patiala. Thanks to the initiative taken by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, the event has been shifted there.
"Yes, we are shifting the premiere to Patiala on the Punjab CM's request. It will be held at the SRS Cinema in Patiala on February 10. Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma and I will be flying down to Patiala for the premiere," said the film's director Nikhil Advani.Apparently the minister happened to meet Akshay at a function in Punjab last week and the two got talking about 'Patiala House', which is releasing Friday.
"Parkash Singh Badal wondered why the premiere of 'Patiala House' should not be held in Patiala. Isn't it the most logical thing in the world to have premiere of 'Patiala House' in Patiala? Akshay and director Nikhil Advani were stumped. Within minutes everything was decided," said a source.
Incidentally while Akshay and Rishi, who are playing Sikhs in 'Patiala House', are full-blooded Punjabis, the film's leading lady Anushka is not a Punjabi but is often mistaken for one.
"I don't know if the Punjab CM thinks Anushka to be a Punjabi. But at the moment we're all Punjabis including me (actually a Sindhi)," said Advani.
Kangna to tattoo her bosom for Mr. Right
7:20 AM
Unknown
If her recent admission is anything to go by, Kangna Ranaut clearly believes in keeping it close to her chest. The actor has already decided to tattoo the name of her Mr Right on her bosom. It’s another thing that Kangna will have to wait till she meets her true love. Kangna decided to get a tattoo
after being inspired by her rather wild character in the forthcoming film, Tanu Weds Manu. Small town siren
Ranaut plays Tanu, a small-town bindaas (carefree) girl who openly mouths Hindi expletives and loves to drink and smoke. While her unassuming parents have no inkling about their daughter’s wild ways, Tanu goes ahead and gets her boyfriend’s name (Awasthi) tattooed on her chest and proudly flaunts it to scandalise R Madhavan who plays Manu, an NRI.
Kangna had to sport a henna tattoo for nearly three months while shooting for the film. “That’s because I had to get it retouched a few times to maintain the continuity,” the actor laughs and quickly adds that she has made up her mind to get a permanent tattoo once she finds her true love. Interestingly, Ranaut first spoke to Tanu Weds Manu director Aanand Rai about getting a permanent tattoo. Recalling their conversation, the filmmaker admits that he initially thought Kangna was joking.
No jokes“But when she kept repeating her decision to get a permanent tattoo, I realised she was serious,” says Rai. “Kangna would always tell me how Tanu is very similar to her as she too shies away from nothing. I wish she soon finds that special person so she can get the tattoo she wants.”
